Inside Flower Dome at Gardens By The Bay

I hurriedly walked to Flower Dome at around 5 PM. I knew it was still quite early but I didn’t want to rush my time there. I wanted to take every moment to savor what I’d see inside. I like flowers mainly because I admire the colors, so to see a whole lot of them in one garden would be lovely!

Unlike other conservatories at Gardens by the Bay, Flower Dome came with a price. I booked my ticket online through Klook (affiliate link) and got a discount. It was around Php 888 including the entrance to another conservatory which is the Cloud Forest. The two both came highly recommended when I did my research. It’s easier when you book online because you don’t have to line up for tickets. You just have to show your printed or online voucher upon entrance.

Good to Know! (info from their official website)

Flower Dome is the largest glass greenhouse in the world as listed in the 2015 Guinness World Records! It’s 1.2 hectares big or about as big as 2.2 football fields put together. It occupies about as big as 75 Olympic-sized swimming pools.

There are 3,332 glass panels of 42 different shapes and sizes needed to cover the whole 16,000 m2 surface area of the dome. No need to worry because the entire place is air-conditioned.

Expect so many flower gardens inside the conservatory. They have the Baobabs and Bottle Trees, Succulent Garden, Australian Garden, South African Garden, South American Garden, Californian Garden, Mediterranean Garden, and Olive Grove. All are amazing! They also change the floral displays from time to time based on the current festivals and seasons.

If you are an enthusiast or someone who loves flowers and gardens, expect to spend more than 2 hours here if you must. It takes some time to go around because it’s really huge. Naturally, I took photos of the flowers that I liked but I’m not really sure what the names of the flowers are. Although there’s a label that showed the name of the flower and where it’s from, there are just so many of them that I couldn’t really keep track of everything.

Because the place was so big, I didn’t know where to go first so I just followed the signs or went to the spots where there were fewer people.

Red flowers are always attractive. I was like a buzzing bee going around the dome. 😉

I took a deep breath and took in the beauty of the place. Being there gave me such good vibes that I really just wanted to stop and smell the flowers.

There’s no doubt about it. I really had a lovely time at Flower Dome. It was spectacular, awesome, and all the nice things I could think of. Definitely not to miss when you’re visiting Singapore.

The flowers were so beautiful that the shutterbug in me was so delighted. It’d be a nice place to take your photos too but in my case, I was alone so a discreet selfie would do. Lol. Hope you enjoyed the photos as much as I did. 🙂
