Madame Tussauds Hongkong – Wax Museum

Pia Wurtzback at Madame Tussauds Hongkong

During my one-week trip to Hong Kong, I didn’t pass up the chance to visit famous tourist attractions like Madame Tussauds Hongkong. Because I was working during this trip, I didn’t really have much time to plan the places I wanted to visit, so as usual, Klook proved to be the easiest and most convenient way to book tickets.

I scored the Klook pass for PHP 6,663 to see two attractions. I chose the following:

1. Victoria Peak Tram and Sky Terrace 428
(PHP 512 if purchased without bundle)

2. Madame Tussauds Wax Museum
(PHP 1.9K-2K if purchased without bundle)

Then, I threw in a premium add-on: a ticket to Disneyland! You can easily book the same Klook pass I used below:

The first two options were ideal because they’re located in the same place. It would be easier for me to navigate and would also save me some time.

I went in the late afternoon during my first day in Hong Kong. The weather was not very ideal but thank goodness to Hong Kong’s wonderful and efficient transportation, I managed to find my way despite the slight on-and-off rain.

Getting There

Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is situated on Victoria Peak, one of the most iconic locations in Hong Kong. The address is Shop P101, The Peak Tower, No. 128 Peak Road, The Peak, Hong Kong Island.

Thanks to The Poor Traveler‘s blog, I found my way to The Peak (Victoria Peak) by taking the MTR.

Alight at the nearest MTR Station: Central. Use EXIT J2. Once you leave the terminal, cross the Chater Garden and look for the Bank of China Building. You will not miss it because it’s so big. Walk uphill along Garden Road and you will see the Peak Tram Terminus on the left side.

Get ready for some walking because it’s a long uphill walk. 😄 Once you reach The Peak Tram though, the views are worth it going up. The lines to the tram can get really long so I highly recommend booking your ticket via Klook ahead of time.

It was already raining when I got to the Sky Terrace so I did not stay long up there. It was a breathtaking view from above – too bad, it was gloomy.

About Madame Tussauds Hongkong

Madame Tussauds is a world-renowned wax museum featuring lifelike wax figures of celebrities, historical figures, sports stars, and more. The Hong Kong one offers an immersive and interactive experience, allowing you to get up close and personal with your favorite personalities.

Since it was a solo trip, I took my time to observe and enjoy each wax figure. I was mostly excited to see the wax figures of Filipino celebrities and my fave international ones as well! 😍

The museum boasts an impressive collection, including local and international celebrities from various fields such as film, music, sports, politics, and history. Visitors can take photos with their favorite figures, which are incredibly lifelike and meticulously crafted.

Here, let me take you on a photo tour.

Since I was alone, it was a bit challenging to take photos. Most of my photos in the museum were selfies, but if you notice, some were not. That’s because I met a fellow solo traveler! How cool is it to meet one!? 😭 She offered to take my photos and I did the same for her.

The funny thing was when we exited the museum, we immediately lost each other. 😅 I didn’t even get her name or socials, but she did say she’s from China. That’s all I knew about her.

Whoever and wherever you are right now – I hope you are well and maybe somewhere out there, we’ll see each other again.
