The Namsan Seoul Tower is a famous tourist attraction in Seoul and even serves as an iconic landmark in Korea. We took the subway and a public bus, then walked up to the tower. It was a long, uphill walk to the tower but the views up there were super worth it.

There are also Klook tours that are hassle-free and more convenient, but we took the DIY route since we had friends who knew the way.

About the Namsan Seoul Tower

It is the first multi-purpose tower to be established in Korea serving both as a sightseeing observatory and a broadcasting tower. The 236-meter tall tower is the second highest point in Seoul and it offers an unobstructed and breathtaking view of the city.

Location: 105, Namsangongwon-gil, Yongsan-gu, Seoul

It was our second day in Korea but our first full day of sightseeing. Since we just arrived the day before, it was the first time I saw the beautiful trees with their red and orange autumn leaves up close. It felt so foreign to me because it was the first time I experienced autumn in its full glory.

It was also the moment I realized that I’m loving South Korea, although that’s really more likely to be “I’m loving South Korea during autumn” because that’s the only season I’ve experienced so far.

I loved the smell of the cold autumn breeze.

I loved the chilly cold weather throughout the day.

It seemed like I could walk all day everyday and I would still be fresh like I was early in the morning.

Isn’t that a luxury? ^^^

We walked around first before heading to the tower.

Then we dropped by the Love Lock Bridge where one of the scenes in ‘To All The Boys: Always and Forever’ (the third installment in the series) was taken. If you’ve watched it, it was where Kitty met Dae. Their meet-cute 💗

We went up to the tower right after and enjoyed the magnificent view.

After the tower, it was lunchtime!

Overall, it was a fun first day of sightseeing. Just chill – no pressure day for us. Before we went to Namsan that day, we passed by this park with the beautiful trees and a stream so I had to take some photos.

That’s the entry for today! Until the next one. 💖
