Bukchon Hanok Village is a historic neighborhood that showcases the beauty of traditional Korean architecture, known as hanok. Situated between Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changdeokgung Palace, this charming village offers a glimpse into the past with its well-preserved homes, narrow alleys, and stunning views of the city.

One morning in Seoul, my friends and I decided to have a quick visit to Hanok Village. We woke up early for it, and as usual, I loved the fresh, cold morning breeze.

Conveniently located in the heart of Seoul, Bukchon Hanok Village is easily accessible by public transportation. Take the subway to Anguk Station (Line 3) or Gyeongbokgung Station (Line 3), and you’ll find yourself within walking distance of the village.

It was a quick trip to see what the village was like but I loved that experience. I loved that the homes still have the traditional Korean touch but are also modern and have kept up with the times. I loved the doors, gates, alleyways, the rooftops. They’re lovely and charming – and I took it all in – wondering how it must have felt living in their community.
